STAMFORD, CONN. — On Nov. 15, the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA) opened buyer, media and influencer registration for Global Pet Expo 2024. The international event will occur from March 20 to 22, 2024, at the South Concourse of the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

APPA and PIDA anticipate more than 1,000 exhibitors throughout the pet industry will gather for Global Pet Expo 2024. According to the associations, the 2024 show floor is nearly sold out at 92% capacity and will include products from all segments of the pet care market, from premium nutrition to toys, eco-friendly products, technological innovations and more.

“With pet owners and retailers constantly seeking new and improved products to meet the needs of their beloved animal companions, pet manufacturing continues to be a rapidly evolving industry filled with innovation and creativity,” said Pete Scott, president and chief executive officer of APPA. “The APPA and PIDA teams look forward to yet again bringing together pet product manufacturers, importers, retailers, distributors, thought leaders and creative minds driven by their passion for enriching the lives of pets and their owners, all while helping drive our industry forward.”

Registration for Global Pet Expo 2024 includes access to exhibits and new product launches, as well as networking opportunities, educational sessions and more.

Next year’s show will feature various new additions to help elevate and enhance attendees’ and exhibitors’ experiences.

The show floor will be expanded to include new specialty sections, including a Supplier Pavilion where exhibitors can meet with suppliers, a Store of the Future exhibit that will showcase new trends and technological advancements to attendees, and a rebranded Boutique section which will be called The Modern Pet section.

With increasingly advanced innovations on the show floor, the New Products Showcase and its awards presentation will also include new categories. The Pet Sustainability category will highlight products that offer environmental, social and economic benefits while also minimizing their negative impacts through sourcing, production and transportation. The Pet Tech Innovation category will focus on emerging brands and technology products, like wearables, location and health monitoring, and other devices. The Dog category will be split into Dog Food/Treats and Dog Products. New categories for Farm and Feed and The Modern Pet will also be included.

To find exhibitors and help promote diverse businesses in the industry, the 2024 show will include new search community search filters. Exhibitors can highlight their BIPOC, LGBTQ+ or woman-owned businesses, offering more visibility and allowing attendees to explore more diverse businesses.

Global Pet Expo 2024 will also include an elevated educational program. The Global Learning Series program will run from March 19 to 22 and will include new education on innovation and technology, digital marketing, labeling, wellness, diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI), and more.
