JACKSONVILLE, FLA. — Lan Handling Technologies cut the ribbon at its newest US site in Jacksonville. The expansion will improve its services for its growing stateside customer base, according to the company. The company specializes in the design, construction, assembly and install of product handling systems and end-of-line automation solutions for the pet food and pharmaceutical sectors.

“The opening of our new location demonstrates our commitment to continuously focus on our customers’ needs,” said Christiaan van Terheijden, chief executive officer at Lan Handling, who joined the company in May. “Our US-based sales and service team will enable us to support our North American clients even better, with 24/7 emergency service, inspections and spare parts supply.”

The new facility opened on Sept. 1. It was built with room for future expansion and development. It marks the third Lan Handling location globally, with others found in Berkel-Enschot and Halfweg, The Netherlands. The location of the new US plant is expected to optimize its customer service for clients across the United States.

Lan Handling’s new Jacksonville location shares a building with hatchery automation company Pas Reform North America. Lan Handling and Pas Reform are both owned by Hydratec, a public company listed on the Dutch stock exchange.

According to the company, its product handling and automation solutions are used by Mars, Nestlé, Simmons, Conagra, Del Monte and several other large food industry players.
