STAMFORD, CONN. — Global Pet Expo will be held March 24-26, 2021, whether in-person or virtually according to show organizers, the American Pet Products Association (APPA) and Pet Industry Distributors Association (PIDA).

The organizations released an update Nov. 2, confirming plans to hold an in-person event at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., unless COVID-19 restrictions and risks interfere. APPA and PIDA are “exploring other options” for the trade show, including hybrid events and virtual platforms.

“With the ever-changing impact of COVID-19, we are committed to being adaptable to ensure Global Pet Expo participants have a successful and safe experience,” said Andy Darmohraj, chief operating officer and executive vice president of APPA. “That said, I can confidently say that the show will most definitely go on.

“Bringing the industry back together is paramount as we all continue to navigate the new landscape of doing business,” he added. “There’s no better place to connect with industry thought leaders, share ideas and gain the education needed to succeed in these challenging times than at Global Pet Expo.”

As in years past, Global Pet Expo will offer an exclusive opportunity for pet industry members to connect, learn and showcase their brands. More than 1,000 companies are expected to attend from the United States and abroad. The show will feature more than 3,000 product launches and nearly 300 first-time exhibitors.

Additionally, Global Pet Expo will host a program of educational presentations through its “Global Learning Series.” The series will include five key pathways for retailers, distributors and manufacturers, each focused on leadership, customer experience, public relations and marketing, human resources, profitability and growth, and other areas of business insight.

“We are looking to our 2021 event with great optimism and enthusiasm, and look forward to the interaction, engagement and opportunities that remain the cornerstone of taking part in Global Pet Expo,” Darmohraj said.
