LENEXA, KAN. — Meowijuana, a catnip and treat brand owned by SmarterPaw, LLC, announced March 8 it has appointed Tammy Witmer as business development director for the Eastern United States.

Witmer offers more than two decades of CPG sales and management experience with a focus in the pet industry. Prior to joining Meowijuana, she served as regional manager for the east coast for Best N Pet Inc.

“We are thrilled to welcome Tammy to our dynamic team at SmarterPaw,” said Scott Ragan, managing partner and chief executive officer of SmarterPaw. “Not only does Tammy bring a wealth of knowledge and pet industry sales experience to her role, but her addition to our team continues our commitment to working closely, collaborating and tailoring marketing and selling solutions for each of our customers.”

Witmer is based in Pennsylvania and will manage sales and distribution efforts in the Eastern United States.

Meowijuana also teased the launch of a new line of “dognip” and associated toy products for dogs, Doggijuana, this spring.
