The country’s global grain export market share may decline even further as tariff disputes continue.

President Donald Trump announced a new universal minimum tariff of 10% on all goods imported to the United States, including food and agricultural products.

With the April 2 deadline approaching fast, new tariffs and any retaliation they provoke threaten to flip the entire US food system.

The 25% tariffs that originally went into effect March 4 have now been delayed until April 2. 

The president issued an order calling for a review of US trade relationships with Canada, China and Mexico. 

Threats of additional tariffs by President-elect Trump are raising concerns among ag industry groups.

The purchase expands the company’s animal nutrition business.

The company will expand capacity for both dry and wet pet foods.
