CHILLIWACK, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Petcurean introduced new wet food recipes for cats and dogs under its Now Fresh pet food line. Now Fresh Wet Food Recipes provide hydration and premium quality proteins to cats and dogs for all life stages and can be served as complete-and-balanced meals or toppers. 

The recipes are available in single-serve pouches and are formulated with nutrient-rich ingredients, palatable flavors and fresh, highly digestible proteins. The formulas are minimally processed to preserve nutrients and contain no byproducts or meat meals, according to Petcurean. 

Now Fresh Wet Food Recipes for Cats are available in two formats — Shredded and Pâté — and three flavors. 

Available in Shredded Chicken, Duck & Broth Blend, the Shredded recipe includes shredded meats from de-boned chicken and d-boned duck soaked in broth to entice picky felines. The food is also formulated with Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids from flaxseed, marine microalgae oil and sunflower oil to support skin and coat health, and taurine to support heart health. The recipe is grain- and gluten-free. 

The Pâté recipes are available in two varieties, one for cats of all life stages and one for seniors. Now Fresh Tuna & Salmon Pâté for All Life Stages contains de-boned tuna, de-boned salmon, flaxseed, taurine, marine microalgae oil and sunflower oil to support digestion, vision and heart health. Now Fresh Tuna & Salmon Pâté for Seniors also contains de-boned tuna and salmon, flaxseed, taurine, marine microalgae oil and sunflower oil, as well as L-carnitine to support heart health and weight management, and psyllium husk to provide fiber and support digestive health.

Both Pâté recipes are grain- and gluten-free, contain no dried or powdered meats, byproduct meals, artificial colors or preservatives.

For dogs, Now Fresh Wet Food Recipes are available in grain-free and grain-inclusive options. The recipes contain no dried or powdered meat, byproduct meals, artificial colors or preservatives. They are available in three textures — Ground, Shredded and Pâté — and four flavors. 

Ground recipes are inspired by stir-fry food, providing a home-cooked flavor and are designed to provide pups of all life stages with a balance of taste and nutrition. The format is available in Beef & Rice Dinner and Chicken & Rice Dinner varieties. Beef & Rice is completely free from chicken and contains de-boned beef, brown rice, green beans, sweet potato, flaxseed, taurine, sunflower oil and marine microalgae oil. Chicken & Rice contains de-boned chicken, brown rice, peas, carrots, flaxseed, taurine, sunflower oil and marine microalgae oil. 

The Shredded recipe is available in a Chicken & Broth Blend flavor, formulated for small breed dogs of all life stages. The recipe contains whole shredded meat, parsley, flaxseed, taurine, marine microalgae oil and sunflower oil. It also contains sodium hexametaphosphate to help minimize tartar build-up and support oral health, a concern in small breed dogs. According to Petcurean, the formula is the only pouched product on the market specifically for small breed pups.

The Pâté format is available in a Chicken & Salmon flavor, specifically for senior dogs. The food is formulated with de-boned salmon, flaxseed and marine microalgae oil to support skin and coat health, L-carnitine to support heart health and weight management, pumpkin to support digestive health, and New Zealand Green-lipped mussels to provide chondroitin that can support joint health and mobility.
