JUPITER, FLA. — Scenthound, a dog wellness franchise, recently named Josh Lyon as its chief operating officer. Lyon will leverage his experience to scale the franchise’s operational excellence and success.
Lyon has more than 15 years of senior administration and operations management experience with a background in the fitness industry. He has held several leadership roles with TITLE Boxing Club and has served as an advisor to emerging concepts at Franworth. Additionally, he has expertise in developing systems that drive efficiency, consistency and member satisfaction from his time at Hertz, during which he launched and introduced a new concept under its Firefly brand.
Lyon originally joined Scenthound in 2021, serving as vice president of operations. He is also a certified franchise executive and a current Scenthound franchisee, bringing a dual perspective to his new role. According to the franchise, Lyon’s leadership will play an instrumental role in expanding its reach, making dog wellness services more accessible and helping educate pet parents on the importance of routine, preventive pet care.
“For the past four years, Josh has played a key role in driving the rapid growth of our brand,” said Tim Vogel, co-founder and chief executive officer of Scenthound. “His operational expertise and dedication to our vision will be instrumental as we continue to set the new standard in dog wellness.”
In his new role, Lyon will focus on opening new Scenthound locations in key markets throughout the United States.
“Scenthound is growing fast, and it’s growing with a clear and compelling purpose,” Lyon said. “What excites me most is not just the pace of our expansion, but the values that drive it. I’m eager to continue this journey with a mission-driven organization that is making a meaningful difference in the lives of dogs and their families.”
Founded in 2015, Scenthound is the first dog wellness franchise concept in the United States, according to the company. The franchise offers monthly hygiene services for dogs and a retail product line, Houndswell®, that provides various dog wellness products like supplements. Through its offerings, Scenthound aims to shift pet care from reactive to more proactive.
The franchise recently made the Entrepreneur Franchise 500 list for 2025, ranked on Inc. 5000’s 2024 list of the fatest-growing private American companies, and was a finalist of South Florida Business Journal's 2023, 2024 and 2025 Business of the Year award.
