FLORHAM PARK, NJ. — Datacor, Inc., a provider of process manufacturing, engineering and chemical distribution software for several industries, including animal nutrition, has acquired Baytek International, a provider of Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Quality Control (QC) software. According to Datacor, the acquisition expands upon its capabilities, allowing it to help manufacturers enhance their regulatory compliance, quality assurance and laboratory management processes.
Established in 1982, Baytek International has become a premier provider of MIMS and QC systems for the refining, petrochemical, polymer, specialty chemical and bulk pharmaceuticals industries. The company’s solutions provide companies with accurate data, allowing them to streamline workflows.
According to Datacor, Baytek’s expertise will complement its existing solutions, as well as create new opportunities for the company’s innovation and growth.

In addition to the acquisition, Datacor has also appointed Sundar Kuppuswamy as its chief Artificial Intelligence (AI) officer. This new position underscores the Datacor’s commitment to leveraging AI technologies to provide enhanced value and innovation, according to the company.
Kuppuswamy has more than 20 years of experience in AI, data science and optimization in the tech help and travel industry. Prior to his new role at Datacor, he served as chief data scientist at Asurion, where he led initiatives in machine learning and generative AI. Before that, he led Sabre’s data science and optimization efforts to create compelling travel experiences.
