LVIV, UKRAINE — Kormotech Group of Companies has unveiled an updated concept for its super-premium pet food brand Optimeal Holistic. The presentation took place during Zoomark International May 5 to 7 in Bologna, Italy.

The updated Optimeal Holistic is designed for pet parents who aim to extend the lives of their pets through balanced nutrition, as the formulas are developed to support pets’ long-term health.

“Responsible pet parents recognize an animal’s right to care, attention and support for both physical and emotional wellbeing — and they strive to uphold it,” said Roman Shpak, senior brand executive of Premium Brands for Kormotech. “High-quality nutrition is one of the most tangible expressions of daily care and a key factor in ensuring long-term health.”

The updated product range — developed by a team of nutritionists and veterinarians — will include both dry and wet recipes for cats and dogs. The products are tailored to the specific nutritional needs of pets of different ages, sizes and physiological characteristics. The recipes are also highly palatable, with 93% of pets enjoying eating them, according to a study conducted in Germany.

Key features of the updated brand include up to 70% fresh protein, new single-protein recipes and gluten-free formulas. The formulas use a blend of functional ingredients to support long-term health, including live probiotics, natural sources of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals, as well as ingredients to support joint and cognitive health.

The updated brand is designed to target pet parents looking for high levels of nutrition in their pet food purchases.

“People are rethinking the role of their pets, recognizing the positive impact they have on their lives,” Shpak added. “They want to ensure their cats and dogs live long, active lives so they can enjoy many happy years together. Our renewed Optimeal Holistic is created precisely for these people.”

The Optimeal brand was originally launched in 2013 and is now available in more than 30 countries. The official brand relaunch is planned for this fall, with products set to be available to customers in September.
