ST. LOUIS — Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements debuted its new dog supplement: Skin Care. Developed by Purina researchers and veterinarians, Skin Care is designed to support pups with sensitive skin and those with seasonal allergies.

Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Supplements Skin Care is formulated with a blend of collagen, EPA and DHA fatty acids, vitamin E and zinc to support skin health and the immune system. It also contains Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids to help the skin maintain its natural protective barrier. According to Purina, this formula helps maintain dogs’ skin hydration.

“We know that many pet owners visit their vet to discuss their pet’s skin health,” said Martha Cline DVM, DACVIM, a veterinarian with Purina. “Healthy skin plays a vital role in helping dogs lead happy, healthy lives, and Skin Care helps maintain skin hydration and a protective barrier to support dogs with sensitive skin, including those with seasonal allergies.”

The new Skin Care supplement is available in a soft chew format. The supplement is available via Amazon, Chewy and at veterinary clinics.
