ST. CHARLES, MO. — ROYAL CANIN® US introduced its new supplement and probiotics line for pets on May 6. According to the company, the products aim to help pet owners further individualize their pet’s health.

The new products align with Royal Canin’s commitment to science-led pet nutrition solutions. The line is formulated with ingredients backed by scientific studies to ensure efficacy, making them a complement to the company’s complete-and-balanced pet foods.

The line includes a probiotic powder, called Clinically Proven Probiotics for Digestive and Immune Health, for cats and dogs. The powder is yeast based and contains live Saccharomyces boulardii CNCM I-1079 strain, which has been clinically proven to help support the immune system, boost beneficial gut bacteria, and support digestive health and stool quality in pets.

Additionally, the line also includes softs chews for puppies and adult dogs, targeting carious aspects of canine health. The supplements include:

  • Puppy Digestive & Immune Health Chew, which are formulated with a blend of prebiotic fibers to support the gut microbiome, vitamins E and C to support cellular health, and Beta-glucan postbiotics to support digestion and stool quality.
  • Digestive Chews, which are formulated with prebiotic fibers to support good gut bacteria and the gut microbiome, Beta-glucan postbiotics to support digestive health and stool quality, and zeolite to help reduce stool odor.
  • Joint Chews, which are formulated with New Zealand green-lipped mussel to promote joint comfort and reduce occasional stiffness, and EPA and DHA Omega 3 fatty acids to help reduce inflammation.
  • Skin & Coat Chews, which are formulated with Omega 6 fatty acids Gamma-linolenic acid (GLA) and Linoleic acid (LA), as well as zinc, to help with skin hydration and promote coat quality; Omega 3 fatty acids EPA and DHA to promote health skin; and a B-vitamin blend to support the skin barrier.

“This innovative range of products is designed to complement our existing diets to support the health and wellbeing of cats and dogs,” said Heather Pasquale, general manager of the US Vet Business Unit for Royal Canin North America. “Our supplements are formulated with the same philosophy and scientific rigor that Royal Canin is known for, addressing specific health concerns while maintaining the nutritional balance that is crucial for optimal pet health.”

The new probiotic powder is available in 7-count and 30-count boxes and the soft chew supplements are available in 60-count packs. The products are available via select retailers, including Chewy and Amazon, and from veterinary partners.

To celebrate the new products, Royal Canin declared May 8 as National Pet Wellness Day.
