ORLANDO, FLA. — Pet supplement brand Zesty Paws has opened a contest in search of its first-ever chief taste officer. In the role, a dog or cat will become brand ambassador and receive $25,000 and year’s supply of Zesty Paws products. 

The contest is part of the brand’s Flipped Tails campaign, which aims to showcase the perspectives of dogs and cats, while also celebrating the human-animal bond. The campaign includes videos of pet owners narrating the actions of their pets, providing pets with a voice. The CTO will be featured in extensions of the campaign.

“Zesty Paws knows that while we see ourselves as the caretakers, our pets take care of us too — giving us snuggles, loyalty and unconditional love,” said Mafe De Alba-Williams, director of growth marketing for H&H Global North America, parent company of Zesty Paws. “Why not reward them with a prize of $25,000 so they can buy all the toys and treats that their heart desires?”

The brand is encouraging consumers to enter the contest by submitting an Instagram Reel explaining why their pet should be Zesty Paws’ first CTO, highlighting the animal’s personality and favorite activities, whether it be zoomies, fancy tricks or beloved treats.
