SUN CITY WEST, ARIZ. — The National Animal Supplement Council (NASC) announced the re-election of Sara Phillips and the election of Paul Hays to its board of directors. According to the NASC, Phillips and Hays bring extensive industry and leadership experience, as well as a strong commitment to the council’s mission. They both will serve three-year terms.
Phillips serves as vice president of Global Pet Business for FoodScience, LLC, where she leads two successful pet supplement brands, a strong international business unit and a growing co-manufacturing business. Known for encouraging innovation and investing in talent, Phillips was first elected to the NASC board in 2022.
Hays serves as chief executive officer of Vets Plus, Inc., and brings 40 years of experience in the animal nutrition industry to his new board role. He has led NASC member companies since 2015. According to the NASC, Hays’ extensive experience in navigating animal health product regulations, combined with his deep understanding of the needs of supplement brand owners, will enable him to make a significant contribution to the future of the council.
“Sara and Paul embody the leadership, dedication and spirit of collaboration that NASC is built on,” said Bill Bookout, president of NASC. “Their commitment to carrying out our mission and supporting the success of our members makes them outstanding additions to the NASC Board of Directors.”
NASC also extended its gratitude to Élan Sudberg, CEO of Alkemist Labs, for his service as he rotates off the board. According to NASC, Sudberg’s fresh ideas and forward-thinking leadership have made a lasting impact on the organization’s growth and success.
