MIAMI — Supercan Bulk of Miami is recalling one lot of its Supercan Pig Ear Slivers Thick Cut Piggy Ear Slices pet treats due to Salmonella contamination. The recalled products come in 500-piece, 15.9-oz bags with an expiration date of 11/09/2026.

The recalled lot of was distributed on April 11, 2024, in a North 40 store located in Washington State.

The health risk was discovered when samples of the product were collected on March 4 and tested by the Washington State Department of Agriculture. The product tested positive for Salmonella. As of April 2, no related illnesses have been reported. Supercan Bulk has proceeded with the recall on that lot and will safely proceed to dispose of it under the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) instructions, according to the FDA.

Consumers who have purchased this product are urged to return to the place of purchase or destroy the food in a way that children, pets and wildlife cannot access it. The FDA also recommends that consumers who have used the product clean and sanitize any surfaces that it came in contact with.
