PORTLAND, ORE. — Human-grade pet food and treat company Portland Pet Food Company recently announced the upcoming launch of Winnie’s Lamb N’ Rice Homestyle Dog Meal. Ideal for pups with food sensitivities, the food can be integrated easily into existing feeding routines as a complete meal or topper.

Portland Pet Food Company explained that the new lamb-based meal’s flavor profile is a result of high demand and anticipation from customers.

“Lamb is one of our most requested proteins from both retailers and pet parents,” said Katie McCarron, founder and chief executive officer of Portland Pet Food Company. “Our new Winnie's Lamb N’ Rice recipe is particularly beneficial for dogs with food sensitivities, as lamb is highly digestible and rich in omega-3 fatty acids that support skin, coat and joint health.”

Winnie’s Lamb N’ Rice features US-sourced, human-grade lamb for a strong source of protein and Omega 3 and 6 fatty acids that support brain development, reduce inflammation and promote heart health, according to the company. The new recipe also includes antioxidant-rich mushrooms.

In addition to the new recipe, the company also introduced its new Dog Meal Variety Multipack, which allows customers to provide their dogs with a rotation of meal options. The 4-pack variety includes Beef, Chicken, Salmon and Pork dog meals in pre-portioned “meal pouches” for convenience.

Winnie’s Lamb N’ Rice and the new variety packs will be shipped off to retailers in July.
