ALEXANDRIA, VA. — The Pet Advocacy Network (PAN) recently announced the upcoming launch of its new grassroots advocacy program for those who work in and support the pet industry, The Network of Advocates.

Going live this month, the network will be a free platform for members of the pet industry to learn about policy issues, improve their advocacy skillset, contact legislators, provide testimonials and connect with the community. Those who join the network will receive an “advocacy toolkit” and regular updates from PAN’s team of experts, as well as access to a special social media badge to help spread the word.

“The pet care community has thousands of knowledgeable people from business owners to caregivers to veterinarians,” said Mike Bober, chief executive officer of PAN. “But much of the conversation has been dominated by activists outside the industry. The Network of Advocates is a platform where we can tell our story and share all we do to support and promote the human-animal bond.”

PAN will be celebrating the launch with a happy hour reception today, March 27, from 4 to 5 p.m. in the Aquatics Lounge at Global Pet Expo.
