FAIRFIELD, CALIF. —Pet nutrition company Primal Pet Foods announced that it is debuting two new products at Global Pet Expo this week. The company will introduce new Kibble in the Raw recipes for cats and a new Dehydrated Goat Milk product to offer a shelf-stable format of the brand’s popular hydrator.
Primal introduced its Kibble in the Raw innovation toward the end of 2023, offering recipes for dogs, and now the company is expanded the line to include felines. The three new Kibble in the Raw recipes for cats are Chicken, Chicken + Fish and Beef. According to Primal, the formulas combine the power of raw nutrition with the convenience of kibble. These new recipes will officially be available in April.

“Our revolutionary Kibble in the Raw product was designed to attract new consumers to the alternative food category with a format that is more convenient and serves like kibble,” said Courtney Louch, chief marketing officer for Primal. “The consumer response to this new product has been very encouraging. With Kibble in the Raw, we have been able to attract new consumers to the freeze-dried raw category for dogs in the neighborhood pet channel, and now we have the opportunity to help grow the category for cats.”
Additionally, the company will launch a new goat milk product. Dehydrated Goat Milk was formulated to provide customers with a shelf-stable, more convenient version of its Goat Milk hydrator. The product contains vitamins, minerals and digestion-supporting probiotics. Launching in its Original Recipe, the dehydrated format can be used as a liquid treat or to moisten pets’ food.
“While many consumers recognize the benefits of adding moisture to their pet’s diet, we know that the frozen format of raw goat milk does not work for everyone,” Loch said. “This new offering builds on the success we have had in the freeze should help us introduce new consumers to the toppers and hydrators category.”
