ST. CHARLES, MO. — Royal Canin, a Mars, Incorporated brand, recently named Scott Adams as site leader of its Pet Health Nutrition Center (PHNC) located in Lewisburg, Ohio. With more than 30 years of experience, Adams’ crucial role will support the brand’s purpose of creating A BETTER WORLD FOR PETS.
Prior to his new role, Adams held various roles at the PHNC in microbiology, project management, animal care management and capability development. Adams will bring a balance of science and data, as well as people and culture, to his new position.
Royal Canin’s PHNC focuses on various key priorities, such as examining novel proteins and new ingredients and understanding skin and coat health and digestibility in pets, allowing the brand to increase its nutritional precision and continue developing products tailored to individual pet health conditions and needs. In 2015, the PHNC was integrated into Royal Canin. This spring, the site will celebrate its 10-year anniversary with Royal Canin. Adams plans to embrace this history and the brand’s purpose in his new role.
“Almost every presentation I’ve given in the past 10 years, I always end it with a picture of our site that says, ‘Incredible starts here,’” Adams said. “That’s how we all feel here.”
The PHNC is one of two Royal Canin pet centers throughout the world and the only US-based location. It currently employs 56 people throughout the Lewisburg area.
Adams holds a bachelor’s degree in microbiology from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.
