NEW YORK — International Flavors & Fragrances Inc. (IFF) shared several changes to its executive leadership team, seeking to align with its external reporting structure. This restructuring includes the appointment of Leticia Gonçalves as president of IFF’s Health and Biosciences division, effective March 1.

Gonçalves brings extensive expertise to IFF, including experience at innovation-based companies. Prior to joining IFF, Gonçalves served as president of precision fermentation and ventures at ADM, in which she developed new businesses for food, health and wellness, agriculture and industrial applications. She also led ADM’s Specialty Ingredients and Foods division, driving innovation, culture and productivity to help enhance value creation in food security, supply chain resilience and sustainability.

In addition to her experience at ADM, Gonçalves has held various senior global and regional P&L leadership roles at Bayer and Monsanto in Brazil, Europe and the United States. She is currently a board member of Emerson Electric.

“We’re excited to welcome Leticia to IFF,” said Eric Fyrwald, chief executive officer of IFF. “Her extensive experience driving P&L growth in innovation-led businesses and accelerating high-performing teams — coupled with her knowledge of our end markets — will be a great addition to our leadership team. I’m confident Leticia will continue to build on our cutting-edge biotechnology platform of probiotics, cultures and enzymes and drive our next phase of business growth.”

Gonçalves will succeed Simon Herriott, who has been with IFF for 21 years. In 2019, he was named IFF’s president of Health and Biosciences.

“Since 2019, Simon has driven growth and operational effectiveness through innovation, customer intimacy and supply chain development as president of our Health and Biosciences business unit,” Fyrwald said. “We’re grateful for Simon’s tremendous contributions to IFF and wish him well for the future. His dedication and leadership will leave a lasting impact on our organization.”

Additionally, in December, Andy Muller joined the company’s executive leadership team as president of Food Ingredients. Prior to IFF, Muller served as president of Functional Ingredients and Solutions at Corbion, in which he focused on bakery, meat, dairy, confectionery, beverage, biochemical and pet food ingredients. He has also spent 12 years at Danisco and DuPont’s Nutrition and Health business, during which he helped grow the business by expanding organizational capabilities, rationalizing its product portfolio and focusing on core end-market applications.

Muller currently serves on the board of PureField Ingredients.

“Andy’s deep experience in food ingredients and knowledge of our business will support our focus to deliver growth in our specialty ingredients business and increased value to our customers,” Fyrwald said. “We’re excited to have him on board as we continue to grow and innovate.”

In addition to these new personnel additions, Yuvraj Arora has transitioned from president of Nourish to president of Taste and chief commercial officer at IFF.
