KANSAS CITY, MO. — CRB, a global provider of sustainable engineering, architecture, construction and consulting solutions, recently announced the appointment of Heather Walters as director of sustainable design and delivery. In her new role, Walters will lead CRB’s sustainability consulting team.

Walters brings more than 20 years of expertise in architecture and environmental design, as well as experience in sustainability consulting, strategic planning and implementation, and leadership. According to CRB, Walters’ experience has shaped long-term sustainability roadmaps and contributed to award-winning environmental projects. Additionally, Walters is a frequent conference speaker and published author and holds multiple accreditations. 

Walters most recently served as vice president at Thorton Tomasetti’s Sustainability & Resilience practice, during which she played a critical role in earning project certifications for more than 7 million square feet of facility space.

At CRB, Walters will foster growth of the company’s Sustainability Services, helping clients design and construct sustainable facilities that align with their environmental goals. She will also offer internal guidance to help advance CRB’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts.
