BENTONVILLE, ARK. — Crisp, a provider of retail analytics and supply chain insights for brands, retailers and distributors across various industries, announced the launch of AI Blueprints, a suite of open-source, artificial intelligence (AI) templates made to help consumer packaged goods (CPG) brands address challenges in sales, assortment planning, supply chain optimization and more.
AI Blueprints from Crisp are specifically designed to support data scientists and analytics by reducing the time needed to build such models from scratch, according to Crisp. The templates can offer real-time product demand, on-shelf availability, inventory health, seasonal impacts, pricing strategies and other insights. Additionally, Crisp will continuously add to the AI Blueprints catalog, providing deeper insights.
The company has partnered with Databricks, a data intelligence platform.
“AI Blueprints demonstrates how quickly some of the biggest challenges in retail and supply chain analytics can be addressed by applying state-of-the-art technology to fresh, clean and well-organized data,” said Dag Liodden, chief product officer, Crisp. “By collaborating with Databricks and other cloud platforms, we’re creating a scalable, AI-ready foundation that will empower data teams to deliver meaningful business outcomes.”
According to Crisp, AI Blueprints can also provide actionable insights on store clustering, enabling the grouping of retail locations by sales, demographics and geography; weather analytics, aligning inventory and demand with weather patterns; anomaly detection, allowing for quick identification in sales or inventory irregularities; and on-shelf availability, ensuring products are consistently available.
“Blueprints simplify how data is analyzed and transformed, enabling teams to achieve more with fewer resources,” said Justin Fenton, senior director, technical partnerships, Databricks. “This partnership is about empowering analysts and decision-makers with robust, pre-built tools that are ready for immediate deployment.”
In addition to its data capabilities, AI Blueprints can also boost efficiency by simplifying data integration and analysis. The suite is also scalable, as it can be easily adapted into existing cloud infrastructure, according to Crisp.
Crisp is already looking to provide even more benefits through AI Blueprints, with plans to expand the catalog to address product categorization, demand redistribution and promotion optimization.
