ST. LOUIS — Nestlé Purina PetCare is currently hosting a new Chief Snuggle Officers contest, seeking to appoint a kitten and puppy to its C-Suite, through which the pets will serve as brand ambassadors. The pets will be responsible for helping the company promote its Kitten and Puppy Chow.
According to Purina, the Chief Snuggle Officers will highlight the importance of providing kittens and puppies with the right nutrition to support their growth and development.
“The first 12 months (or 24 months for larger puppy breeds) are a crucial developmental period for puppies and kittens, when they grow the most physically and mentally, learning new skills and exploring the world around them," said Callie Harris, DVM, Purina veterinarian. “Purina Puppy and Kitten Chow include nutrients for healthy development that are especially important for the first year, including more protein to support their growing muscles, DHA for brain and vision development, calcium for strong bones, and antioxidants to support a healthy immune system.”
Applications for Purina’s Chief Snuggle Officers are being accepted until Jan. 24. Six finalists will be selected and a public vote will decide the ultimate winners, which will be announced in March.
Additionally, Purina will provide a $25,000 donation to a selected animal shelter.
