STOCKHOLM — Super-premium pet food company Petbuddy Group (PBG) recently announced the appointment of Paul van der Raad as the new chief executive officer, beginning in January 2025. Bringing with him nearly 30 years of experience in the pet food industry, he will be a key factor in the company’s goals to focus on product innovation, sustainability and expanding market reach.

“Paul’s expertise in the pet industry strongly positions him to guide PBG towards a future focused on quality, sustainability and growth,” said Newton Aguiar, chairman of PBG. “We’re excited to see PBG continue serving pet owners worldwide with innovative products they can trust.”

Prior to PBG, van der Raad served as the global director of new business development at Protix BV and worked with sustainable insect protein solutions.  “I am thrilled to join PBG, where we build sustainable brands that benefit pets, pet parents and the environment,” van der Raad said. “I look forward to working closely with the PBG team and trusted business partners to drive meaningful growth and further our shared commitment to responsible pet care.”
