SAINT CHARLES, MO. — Royal Canin issued a voluntary recall of one lot of its Veterinary Feline Renal Support pet food formula. The recall is due to a mislabeling error, in which some bags of the Veterinary Feline Renal Support may contain a different cat food formula.

The recall included 3,164 bags of product. The affected products have a lot number of 242B4RCR04, best by date of 04/17/2024, and time stamps 00:00 - 07:06. The affected Veterinary Feline Renal Support formula is packaged in flexible plastic bags and was distributed throughout the United States. The formula is only available via veterinarian prescription.

Though the recalled product is not contaminated, it may negatively impact cats who need a prescription renal support diet.
