STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN — Voff Premium Pet Food announced its acquisition of Nova Dog Chews, a European manufacturer of dog chews, treats and snacks, on Sept. 6. The acquisition expands Voff’s portfolio of natural, premium pet food brands.

With operations in the United Kingdom and France, Nova will help expand Voff’s position in the United Kingdom and greater European pet markets.

“We are proud and excited to join Voff,” said Antoon Murphy and Lloyd Murdoch, founders and co-managing directors of Nova. “They are the largest player in natural pet food in Europe and we look forward to joining the pack of brands and entrepreneurs under its roof. We have had a great journey building Nova across Europe for the past 18 years, and we now look forward to taking the next step together with the Voff team and are excited about the opportunities that will come from joining Voff.”

Nova offers more than 200 different pet products under its brands Highland Antler, Yak Snacks and Paddock Farm.

“We are delighted that Nova is joining Voff,” said Mårten Bernow, chief executive officer of Voff. “With their outstanding products and great brands, we are really impressed by what the Nova team have achieved. This acquisition further strengthens Voff’s product portfolio within the chews, treats and snacks category and adds great brands with presence across Europe. It is another important milestone in our mission to provide pet owners with the very best natural, premium products to enable their pets to be happy and healthy.”

This acquisition marks Voff’s eighth since its founding in 2014 and its second acquisition in the United Kingdom. The company was acquired by private equity Axcel in July 2022.
