TEWKSBURY MASS. — Wellness Pet Company showcased its newest pet food products, including fresh formulas, plant-based kibbles and toppers for dogs and wet formulas for cats, at SuperZoo 2022 from Aug. 23 to 25 in Las Vegas.

"As we continue to expand our product portfolios, we're offering greater variety to address the unique needs of pets, supporting shared wellbeing between pets and pet parents," said Chanda Leary-Coutu, director of consumer experience at Wellness Pet Company.

At booth No. 3631, the company featured its first fresh pet food formulas, Wellness® Bowl Boosters Freshly™, which the company originally introduced at Global Pet Expo in March 2022. The complete-and-balanced formulas can be served as a meal or meal topper to help supercharge kibble diets. The company also showcased its first plant-based recipes, Wellness CORE® Digestive Health Plant-Based, and Wellness CORE® Immune Health Bowl Boosters®, both of which launched earlier this year.

Wellness Pet Company has expanded its product portfolio with new wet cat food formulas. The new formulas, under the Wellness Company Health Age Advantage line, are specifically designed for cats aged 7 and older, supporting immune, muscle, joint and coat health.

The company has also expanded its lines for kittens with many new products. The new Wellness Complete Health Kitten diet is now available in 5.5-oz wet cans and a new seafood flavor and a new dry kibble format. The kitten diets are formulated with high-quality proteins and DHA and taurine to support brain and eye development. The Wellness CORE Tiny Tasters line also now offers products for kittens. The line boasts new pate and minced formats specifically designed to promote hydration and high-quality nutrition in kittens.

Wellness Pet Company also revealed an expansion of its WHIMZEES line with new dog chews. The new WHIMZEES® by Wellness® Antlers are a rawhide-free chew formulated with limited ingredients to provide dogs with a satisfying chew and aid in teeth cleaning. Other chews, Veggie Ear and Ricebone chew varieties are expected to join the line later this year.

"We've seen first-hand what pet parents are interested in, including the demand for plant-based protein and fresh pet food options, with long-term benefits that pet parents can see for themselves,” Leary-Coutu said. “By making mealtime more meaningful to support your cat or dog's individual needs, you'll be able to enjoy all you do together even more."

Among the significant product expansions, Wellness Pet Company announced it has expanded The Wellness Foundation, the company’s philanthropic initiative. The foundation has received new support and funding from Pet Partners, Pets & People and Boynton Health’s PAWS charities.
