NEW YORK — Better Choice Company detailed a relaunch of its Halo Holistic pet food line, featuring new formulations with functional benefits and new packaging. The new recipes are formulated with higher levels of responsibly sourced protein, and offer skin and coat health and digestive support benefits through probiotics and postbiotics.

“Over our 30-year legacy, it’s always been our mission to improve the Halo brand and advance our product’s nutritional value and benefits,” said Scott Lerner, chief executive officer of Better Choice Company. “Our new and improved Halo Holistic recipes deliver optimal health through responsibly sourced ingredients and complete digestive support.”

The company also removed soy from the formulas and developed poultry-free varieties designed for pets with food sensitivities. The formulas also feature animal proteins raised without antibiotics, non-GMO produce and higher levels of Omega 6 and 3 fatty acids at a four-to-one ratio. The recipes do not contain any corn, wheat, soy or artificial preservatives.

The line includes complete-and-balanced dry and wet diets for both cats and dogs of all ages.

As well as new formulas, the line also will also appear in new packaging, featuring a new design and premium quality bags with stay-fresh zippers. The new packaging is also recyclable through the company’s partnership with TerraCycle.

The Halo Holistic line is available at Petco, Chewy, Amazon and via HaloPets.com.
