MILWAUKEE — Frankly Pet announced that Mirra Laes has joined the company as quality assurance manager. As part of her new role, Laes will manage and improve the company’s Food Safety program.

Prior to Frankly Pet, Laes served as a path lab analyst and path lab lead/senior microbiologist at Food Safety Net Services. She later worked for Waseen, Inc., gaining experience in probiotics. As well as microbiology experience, Laes also has experience in regulatory and BCR and ISO 9001 standards. She is also a certified Internal Auditor.

“Mirra’s extensive laboratory and quality systems management experience make her a standout candidate for this role,” said Alan Snyder, chief operating officer at Frankly Pet. “She’s committed to establishing and enforcing food safety programs at the highest level and we’re excited to have her join our team.”

At Frankly Pet, Laes will be responsible for conducting audits, testing and documenting production and managing the company’s staff. She will also help maintain product quality by investigating consumer complaints and will work closely with management to create new products, designs and manufacturing/training methods.
