ELMIRA, ONTARIO — On May 1, Nutram Pet Products announced its partnership with The Center for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) Foundation to help raise awareness of mental health. For every bag of pet food sold, Nutram will donate $1 to CAMH during May, which is Mental Health Awareness Month.

CAMH is a global leader in mental health care, supporting more than 30,000 patients yearly. The foundation also aids in research to further improve and advance mental health care and operates a teaching hospital.

As part of the collaboration with CAMH, Nutram will also help create awareness about the mental health benefits of pet ownership.

"Pets are cherished family members, and give so much unconditional love to us," said Heather McKay, brand manager, Nutram. "As pet owners, we are reminded daily of the positive impact pet ownership can have on your mental health.

"Nutram's support of CAMH is a natural partnership," McKay added. "We are honored to support CAMH in their mission to create a better future for those living with mental illness or addiction."

Nutram’s pet food portfolio features dry cat and dog recipes, offering a variety of formulas, including life-stage, grain-free and breed-specific. The company’s products are exclusively available at pet specialty retailers throughout Canada.
