MONROVIA, CALIF. — SuperZoo, a North American tradeshow for the pet industry, announced on Feb. 23 that registration for the 2022 event is open. The 2022 event will occur from August 23 to 25 at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, and will feature the industry’s newest products, top sellers and business solutions.

The SuperZoo tradeshow has been active for more than 70 years and has become one of the industry’s premier events.

“Last year, SuperZoo was just what the pet community needed to reconnect, learn and get business done, and we can’t wait to do it again this year,” said Vic Mason, president of the World Pet Association (WPA). “Our 2022 event is, once again, the can’t-miss industry event packed with an unparalleled marketplace of debut products, expert-led education, and most importantly, a place to reconvene with like-minded industry professionals.”

The 2022 tradeshow will feature a collection of upcoming pet products and technology from a variety of pet companies, including from featured exhibitors Blue Buffalo Co., Purina Petcare, Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Elanco Aninal Health, Royal Canin, Diamond Pet Foods and Wellness Pet Company, which rebranded from WellPet at the start of 2022.

Attendees of the 2022 SuperZoo will have access to the New Product Showcase, featuring more than 800 new pet products before they’re officially released, and will have a chance to meet the newest startups and emerging brands.

The event will also feature live demos in the show floor in five different pet-care sectors:

  • Natural and Health will showcase new supplements and preventative pet health products.
  • Specialty and Lifestyle will feature stylish pet accessories.
  • Farm and Feed will focus on a range of supplies for commercial ranchers and urban farmers.
  • Aquatics, Reptiles, Birds and Small Animals will show products designed for small companion animal care.
  • The Groomer’s Marketplace will boast the best and latest products for groomers.

“For a single store retailer like myself, SuperZoo is where we’re able to get samples and trial sizes,” said Patricia Zeller, 2021 SuperZoo attendee, Animal Connection. “We can talk to the manufacturers and do in-depth research to find out about source-ability, manufacturing, third-party testing—which are really important to a store like mine. My customers look to me for that kind of information, and this is where I can get it on a one-on-one basis to have those kinds of discussion.”

This year’s SuperZoo will also boast a new opportunity for groomers. More than $34,000 will be available in prizes during the tradeshow’s grooming contests and groomers will also have access to special educational sessions to prepare them for the Professional Grooming Credential (PGC) exam.

SuperZoo will also be offering non-groomer attendees more than 65 educational sessions, in which professionals can learn from industry experts on strengthening their businesses. The educational sessions will cover a variety of topics, including leveraging SEO and Google.
