AUBURN, KY. — Champion Petfoods, Inc. announced Oct. 26 the launch of ORIJEN High Protein Biscuits, a new line of dog treats featuring 90% protein from fresh or raw animal ingredients.

The new ORIJEN dog biscuits represent the company’s latest innovation within its Biologically Appropriate nutritional philosophy. The line includes four formulas: Original, Regional Red, Puppy, and Fit & Trim.

The Original recipe is formulated with chicken, turkey and wild-caught herring. The Regional Red formula includes beef, pork and beef liver. The Puppy recipe is formulated with herring and pollock oil to provide DHA for cognitive development support. The Fit & Trim formula includes roughly 18% less fat than the Original formula to help with weight management.

According to a study conducted by Champion Petfoods, 77% of dog owners use pet treats as a reward. Additionally, 84% of pet owners ages 55 to 65 reported using treats as a reward, compared to just 64% of pet owners ages 18 to 24.

ORIJEN High Protein Biscuits will be sold on Amazon, Chewy, Petco and other big box and pet specialty retail outlets.
