DANIA BEACH, FLA. — Mark Eamer has been named chief marketing officer at Chewy, Inc. The leading online pet retailer announced the appointment on Sept. 30.

In his new role, Eamer will continue the expansion of Chewy’s marketing and customer engagement initiatives and capabilities, leading the retailer’s strategy, partnerships and analytics in these areas.

"Mark’s extensive experience and track record as a builder, innovator and connector will be instrumental in our continued efforts to advance our marketing capabilities and in achieving our mission of being the most trusted and convenient destination for pet parents and partners, everywhere,” said Sumit Singh, chief executive officer of Chewy. “From guiding emerging business units to transforming existing programs, Mark has displayed an impressive acumen for introducing digital platforms that elevate the customer experience, which remains our north star at Chewy.”

Eamer most recently served as vice president of advertising, product and media at Amazon, where he focused on the e-commerce retailer’s advertising campaigns across IMDb TV, streaming services, FireTV and Alexa devices. He joined Amazon in 2000.
