MAPLE RIDGE, BRITISH COLUMBIA — Enterra, an insect ingredient supplier based in Canada, announced March 30 it has tapped Dave Lemmon as its new chief executive officer. Lemmon most recently served as president of The J.M. Smucker Company’s pet food and snacks business.

Lemmon brings more than 25 years of CPG experience to his new role with Enterra. Previously, he drove transformational change and accelerated innovation and growth for The J.M. Smucker Company’s pet business in Canada, the United States and international markets. He plans to leverage those experiences to drive growth for Enterra in the insect protein market.

“I am very excited to join the Enterra team and to be part of a truly purpose-led organization,” Lemmon said. “The success and culture that has been built is a true testament to the hard work and dedication of the team. I look forward to building on the company’s momentum and to bringing my commercial expertise as Enterra prepares for its next phase: accelerated growth."

Enterra also welcomed Jerry A. Vergeer as chairman of the board, who offers more than 30 years of global animal nutrition and health industry experience.

“We are pleased to have Dave lead our organization and its purpose to harness the power of insects to feed and care for the world,” Vergeer said. “He brings a wealth of experience to ensure we continue to evolve and transform the business to best serve our customers.”
