BANGKOK — Pet Fair Southeast Asia (SEA) has been postponed again in light of global travel issues caused by the COVID-19 pandemic. The in-person pet industry trade show will now be held Oct. 6-8, 2021, in Bangkok.

The show was initially scheduled for Oct. 20-22, 2020, before being pushed back to Jan. 20-22, 2021 in late July.

“We are still receiving many registrations,” said Manuel Madani, project leader of Pet Fair SEA and head of Competence Center. “Both visitors and exhibitors are signing up despite the uncertainties. We are happy that the industry is trusting us, but we need to make the right decisions. Now that we have entered Southeast Asia, the fastest growing area in the world, we need to do our best to deliver our promises. The good news is that 80% of the trade fair has been booked. This allows us to focus on adding more quality for next year.”

Pet Fair SEA’s virtual PreConnect event will still take place as scheduled on Oct. 14, 2020. This free, one-day webinar will serve as a way to connect pet industry trade buyers with global brands ahead of its in-person event in 2021.
