ORLANDO, FLA. — Pet supplement brand Zesty Paws announced Aug. 4 that Disa Pratt has joined the company as vice president of sales and Yvethe Tyszka has been hired as vice president of marketing, both effective immediately.

Pratt will focus on building strong strategic partnerships with new and existing Zesty Paw customers and leading the company’s growth in Target, where the company added its products earlier in 2020.

Tyszka’s new role will include using data-based insights to leverage communication, expansion, new product innovation and sales growth strategies for Zesty Paws. She will also be tasked with leading the company’s first national advertising campaign.

“I’m thrilled to welcome Disa and Yvethe to our Zesty Paws family,” said Steve Ball, chief executive officer of Zesty Paws. “Each comes to the table with tremendous experience that will catapult Zesty Paws’ innovation, collaboration and service to pet parents around the world. I couldn’t be happier to be surrounded by such high caliber team, with each member bringing an innovative and a diverse perspective to the organization.”

Zesty Paws also recently appointed Ball to lead the company in February, having previously served as co-founder and chief executive officer of “I and love and you.”

Most recently, Pratt served as vice president of sales for Halo, Purely for Pets, which was acquired by Better Choice Company in 2019. There she worked with Petco and PetSmart and led Halo’s sales team.

Prior to her position at Halo, Pratt spent 10 years as vice president of sales for New Chapter, a brand of organic whole food supplements. She helped New Chapter expand into the Canadian market in this role.

“As a pet parent of two rescue boxers, Oscar and Olive, I have tremendous love and passion for actively supporting and volunteering for local rescue organizations and having the ability to continue my career work in the pet industry at Zesty Paws is a dream come true for me,” Pratt said.

Tyszka brings more than 20 years of marketing experience to her new role with Zesty Paws, including product development, go-to market strategy and category creation. Most recently, Tyszka served as vice president of marketing for Coravin, a wine-tech startup. Before that, she was the director of marketing for Newell Brands, where she helped the company meet trends and develop new products for big box and digital retail.

“My entire career has been preparing me for this extraordinary experience at Zesty Paws,” Tyszka commented. “I’m grateful and excited for the opportunity to work with a brand that has such fantastic growth potential and has a giving heart that serves not only its customers, but its pet parenting community.”
