Yogi-Dog: Yogurt for Dogs is capitalizing on several pet industry trends toward humanization, as well as refrigerated, frozen and functional treats. Launched in 2018, these natural yogurts for dogs claim to ease gastrointestinal issues, promote nutrient absorption, increase energy levels and fortify bone and immune system health.

Yogi-Dog is formulated with all-natural ingredients and eight strains of active-culture probiotics. They are lactose-free and low fat, with no added sugar, according to the company.

Yogi-Dog flavorsThe probiotic strains included in these products are Lactobacillus Acidophilus, Lactobacillus Delbrueckii Lactis, Bifidobacterium Lactis, Lactobacillus Rhamnosus, Lactobacillus Casei, Lactobacillus Bulgaricus, Bifidobacterium Animalis Lactis and Staphylococcus Thermophilus Lactis.

All three flavors — cheddar cheese, original and peanut butter cream — are sold in 6-oz plastic cups and come with recommended serving sizes depending on a dog’s weight, activity level and age. Each cup is intended to be used for several servings.

The guaranteed analysis places crude minimum protein at 4.6%, crude minimum fat at 1%, crude maximum fiber at 0.2%, maximum moisture at 0.2% and maximum ash at 1%.

Yogi-Dog is currently available regionally in 11 states throughout the United States southeast and northeast regions at select grocery chains, including ShopRite, Karns, Ingles Supermarkets, Food City stores, King Kullen and Morton Williams, as well as through delivery with Peapod.
