ORLANDO, FLA. — Annamaet Petfoods Inc., based in Hatfield, PA, released two new products during Global Pet Expo in February: a senior dry dog food and a vitamin and mineral supplement for raw or homemade pet diets.

The supplement is designed to balance a raw pet diet or one that is made at home by the pet owner. It was developed by a veterinary nutritionist, according to the company, and provides the necessary levels of calcium, sodium, zinc, copper, choline, vitamin D, vitamin E and B vitamins.

“As people continue to care more and more about their pets’ nutrition, our job is to provide products, like Annamaet Enhance, that assist and boost their dog’s diet,” said Robert Downey, founder and president of Annamaet.

The product is recommended for adult dogs at least 9 months old and is not intended for pregnant dogs or puppies, Annamaet said.

Additionally, the company’s new grain-inclusive, senior dog food formula includes millet, lamb and fish, as well as turmeric for its anti-inflammatory properties and medium chain triglycerides for brain health. The diet is designed to provide highly bioavailable nutrients and an optimal amino acid profile for geriatric dogs.

“It’s incredibly important for owners of senior dogs to be feeding them a nutritional formula with natural, powerful ingredients formulated specifically to address the needs of that age group, and our new Annamaet Original Senior formula is just that,” Downey said.

Founded in 1986, Annamaet produces natural pet foods, treats and supplements and ships throughout the United States, as well as to 15 countries around the world.
