SANTA MONICA, Calif. — Continuing a trend toward e-commerce and a breakdown of the traditional retail landscape, eTailPet and WholesalePet.com have teamed up to offer digital solutions to independent pet retailers in order to stay competitive.

Through the partnership, eTailPet will help retailers create custom online stores where pet owners can shop for thousands of products. WholesalePet.com will fulfill these orders, allowing smaller independent retailers to offer a breadth of choices without necessitating a sprawling in-store inventory.

“We’re excited to see our partnership with WholesalePet.com help independent pet retailers serve consumers in the digital space,” said Shianna Andersack, director of revenue at eTailPet. “Through our work with WholesalePet.com, pet retailers can sell thousands of products online with a click of a button — leveling the playing field against large online sellers.”

Similarly, Animal Supply Company has also partnered with eTailPet to help stock pet specialty retailers’ online shelves through its own digital fulfillment service, Animal Supply Connect.

“WholesalePet.com is excited to partner with eTailPet to help stores offer high-quality pet supplies on their website and fulfill these orders through WholesalePet.com. We welcome current and new customers who are going to expand their drop-ship business with this model,” said Chris Avery, CEO of WholesalePet.com.
