MANHATTAN, Kan. — Feed and pet food professionals are invited to attend one of three interactive FSMA courses hosted by Kansas State University’s IGP Institute and the National Grain and Feed Association (NGFA). Three courses will be offered in 2020: Feb. 18 to 20, Aug. 18 to 20, and Nov. 10 to 12.

The fundamentals of animal food safety, creating effective animal food safety plans, and implementation will all be covered during the courses. Manufacturers will receive certifications upon completion of the training from both the FSPCA and the International HACCP Alliance. Participants will also be deemed preventive controls qualified individuals (PCQI).

Additionally, NGFA and IGP Institute will offer a separate HACCP training directly after the FSMA courses, which will require separate registration. The International HACCP Alliance will accredit those who successfully complete the training.

Find more details and registration information on the IGP Institute on-site training web page.
