CHICAGO — Archer Daniels Midland Company (ADM) on Jan. 7 unveiled its updated corporate identity, brandmark and improved website to reflect its recent evolution, including divestitures, acquisitions and investments.

“ADM’s ongoing evolution provides us with an opportunity to evolve ADM’s purpose and identity aligned to the role we play in an ever-important industry,” said Juan Luciano, chairman and CEO of ADM. “Building upon our history of leadership in agricultural transportation and processing, our exponential growth in human and animal nutrition, and our leading-edge innovation and customer-focused solutions — with an ever-present foundation of nature — we are delivering on a noble purpose that is powerful, modern and aspirational. We unlock the power of nature to enrich the quality of life.”

The company acquired Crosswind Industries, a co-manufacturer of pet food and pet treats, in 2017 to bolster its animal nutrition division. In 2018, ADM opened a 284,000-sq.-ft. premix blending factory in Effingham, Illinois for finished pet food and treat products, as well as livestock feed and other specialty products.

Just last year, the company made two acquisitions and opened a new facility dedicated to animal nutrition research. In February 2019, ADM acquired Neovia, a value-added solutions company serving companion animal and animal feed markets, for slightly under $1.8 million. In December 2019, ADM Animal Nutrition opened an Animal Nutrition Technology Center in Decatur.

“Today, we’re proud to unveil an updated identity that reflects the purpose, people and products of ADM,” Luciano said. “Our new brand identity matches our focus on the future – one that remains inspired by our heritage, strongly connected to nature, while propelling us forward.”
