STERLING, Ill. — Sterling Systems & Controls, Inc. has launched customized ingredient batching systems for both liquid and dry materials for the pet food and food processing industries. The company will tailor its Micro and Tote Batching Systems to meet the unique needs of its clients.

Included with the customized batching systems, Sterling reported it will also design systems that include standard features, such as supply bins, feeders, work platforms, automatic or manual bin refilling, liquid tank or pump skid equipment and an automatic dosing control system.

In addition, the systems can also include raw material bag lift handling equipment, dust collection/control for dry materials, batch material conveying, lot tracking and traceability, barcode scanning and RFID scanning, to mention a few possibilities.

Sterling manufactures three sizes of batching systems, all of which are eligible for customization. These include the Micro weighing system with capacity up to 50 lbs.; the Minor system with capacity between 50 and 150 lbs; and the Major system, which can handle more than 150 lbs.

“Often a combination of micro, minor and major weighments are included in a customized micro ingredient material weighing system,” the company explained.
