AUSTIN, Texas — Super-premium pet food brand Nulo announced Sept. 3 it is launching a new campaign urging pet owners to “Know Better” and learn more about pet nutrition, featuring four well-known athletes as brand ambassadors. The campaign focuses on the nutritional efficacy of the pet food and the truth behind commonly used ingredients.

Michael Phelps, Gus Kenworthy, Dana Vollmer and Jordan Hicks will each have their own advertisements as part of the campaign. Each message will be centered around the same idea: knowing better than to believe everything people tell them, including when it comes to choosing pet food.

"Over the past year we've seen large lobbyist-encumbered organizations scare pet consumers with their unscientific conjectures, making sweeping claims about 'good' and 'bad' pet food," said Michael Landa, founder and CEO of Nulo. "At Nulo, we've always been committed to inspiring pet parents to live healthier together with their pets, starting with nutrition – but when we noticed there was an overwhelming amount of inaccurate information out there on basic pet nutrition, we knew we had to do better."

The campaign will direct consumers to Nulo’s website, where they can learn more about the brand’s nutritional offerings and how to identify quality ingredients on a pet food label.
