EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. — Brent Kirn joined Zinpro Corporation Aug. 21 as an account manager for the company’s companion animal division. Kirn brings 28 years of experience in the feed, nutrition and pet food industries to his new role.

Most recently, Kirn served as strategic account manager of pet food for a global food and feed additives supplier. In his role at Zinpro, he will provide companion animal and specialty animal customers with sales support for performance mineral nutrition and other business-related solutions. He will also be tasked with cultivating new sales opportunities within that division.

“Brent’s extensive experience in pet food, treat and companion animal nutrition will be a great benefit to our customers as they continuously strive to meet consumer demand for healthful, quality products that improve the wellness and performance of their pets and specialty animals,” says Erik Swensson, business development manager for US sales at Zinpro. “Brent has a great love of animals – in addition to the business relationships, technical expertise, nutrition and regulatory knowledge and experience – to excel in this position and significantly help our customers.”

Kirn earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in animal science from the University of Missouri.
