ST. FRANCIS, Wis. — Hound & Gatos and Charlee Bear, two brands managed by family-owned Gott Pet Products, will debut new pet food and products during SuperZoo in August. Hound & Gatos will release its first dry foods for cats and dogs, and Charlee Bear will introduce Bearnola Bites, a new line of granola-based dog treats.

Hound & Gatos has developed three grain-free formulas for cats, three grain-free diets for dogs, and two dog foods with ancient grains.

For cats, recipes include cage-free chicken, wild-caught salmon and cage-free turkey. The grain-free dog foods are available in cage-free chicken, grass-fed lamb and cage free-turkey, while the ancient grain formulas are cage-free chicken and grass-fed lamb.

“This premium food was designed to deliver exceptional nutrition and taste, while helping to minimize the risk of food-based allergies, and I’m confident that pets will love it,” said Patrick McGarry, general manager of Gott Pet Products, parent company of the brand.

Hound & Gatos pet foods, including the wet diets, do not utilize plant proteins; the brand’s philosophy is to formulate high-quality meat, poultry or fish with eggs and superfoods for well-rounded nutrition. Its pet foods include more than 84% animal ingredients, according to Gott Pet Products.

The brand’s new dry diets are appropriate for all life stages.

Bearnola Bites are made in the USA with real oats, honey, vanilla and other natural ingredients. Varieties include Blueberry Pie, Cranberry Cobbler, Peanut Butter and Honey, and Pumpkin Spice. The treats do not contain meat ingredients and are free from wheat, corn, soy and artificial ingredients.

“Our new Bearnola Bites are everything they’re baked up to be, with an appealing flavor and texture that dogs won’t be able to resist,” McGarry said.

Hound & Gatos and Charlee Bear will both showcase these new products at booth #971 at SuperZoo from Aug. 20 to 22 in Las Vegas, Nevada.
