Nielsen brings 17 years of food processing equipment sales experience to his new role with Key Technology. He will be responsible for developing and maintaining sales relationships with new and existing customers to provide digital sorting, conveying and automation systems to pet food, poultry, fruit and vegetable processors and other related industries.

“With the field-proven success of our VERYX® digital sorters and our versatile vibratory conveyors like Iso-Flo®, he has a terrific opportunity to deliver value to the large number of food processors in this region,” said Ray Kramer, senior director of North American sales at Key. “With his strong professional background that includes 10 years selling digital sorters, Jeff is a tremendous resource for our customers.”

Before joining Key Technology, Nielsen worked as the southeast sales manager at Industrial Ventilation, Inc. He was the southeast regional sales manager at Tomra Sorting Solutions prior to that.

“Key is a respected market leader known for their world-class sorters and conveyors – a powerful combination. Unlike other suppliers, they provide turnkey sorting systems with integrated conveyors that are custom designed for each application. A great infeed conveyor successfully prepares the product for inspection to achieve the best sort accuracy,” Nielsen said. “I’m excited to bring Key’s innovative, high quality solutions to food processors.”

Nielsen earned a bachelor’s degree in industrial technology from the University of Wisconsin.

Key Technology operates two production facilities in the US, in Walla Walla and Redmond, Oregon, as well as plants in Beusichem, the Netherlands and Hasselt, Belgium. It is a member of the Duravant family of operating companies, which is a global equipment engineering company based in Downers Grove, Illinois.
