NEW YORK — Nielsen Holdings announced July 16 the World Pet Association (WPA), organizer of SuperZoo, has named the market data company as it’s official insights provider. The partnership will provide WPA with access and visibility to pet industry data and thought leadership, Nielsen said. 

Trend information on pet retail, consumer and market preferences will also be available to WPA, which could benefit manufacturers, suppliers and retailers and help drive business growth for industry members.

"The pet industry landscape is changing at an incredibly rapid rate, and good quality data has the power to strengthen our ability to keep pace with the currents moving our industry forward," said WPA President Jacinthe Moreau. "For our members, it was important that we align with a data provider of Nielsen's stature and offer the most comprehensive and highest-quality insights available within the pet space. Nielsen offers the industry a holistic view of pet retail across both specialty and non-specialty channels, making this a noteworthy alliance for our association."
