NEW HAMPTON, NY — PetShure® from BalchemTM has launched Sensory Systems, a line of inclusions that add visual appeal and aroma to baked pet treats and biscuits. The lipid-based aromatic products are available in seven varieties: bacon, cheese, pumpkin, blueberry, cranberry, cinnamon and peanut butter.
This platform of ingredients is designed to deliver a unique sensory experience with minimal impact on moisture content or product formulation. The lipid matrix allows these ingredients to better retain aroma and appearance.
"The Sensory Systems line of inclusions brings a vibrant visual pop and a pleasing aroma to baked treats," said Robert Mason, senior application scientist for Balchem. "We have designed these lipid-based inclusions for maximum effect with minimal impact on moisture content or product formulation. This allows customers to create new seasonal or specialty treats with speed and ease."
These inclusions are all natural, non-grain and non-GMO.
PetShure also added two new Citric Acid products to the pH Control Systems line and a 60% Choline Chloride, non-grain, non-GMO product to the Choline line. The PetShure brand was launched in 2017 to meet the innovation and production processing challenges of the pet food and treat industry.
