MCLEAN, Va. and BRUSSELS — Mars, Inc. appointed two new faces to its global leadership on May 6. Tracey Massey was promoted to global president of Mars Pet Nutrition, and Erica Coletta was chosen to lead Mars Petcare’s global human resources division.

Massey has been with the company in various roles for more than 20 years. She most recently served as regional North American president for Mars Wrigley. Massey has also worked in manufacturing positions and as global chief financial officer for Mars Chocolate. Earlier in her career, Tracey was part of Mars Petcare and is now returning to the Pet Nutrition division.

“It has been a true privilege to lead Mars Wrigley North America for the last five years,” Massey said. “I am thrilled however to be coming back to Petcare, and to join our amazingly passionate Associates to bring our brands to pets and pet owners around the world.”

Coletta has more than 20 years of experience with global companies, including Shell Oil, Unilever and Godiva Inc. Most recently, she served as chief human resources officer at Godiva Inc. and pladis global, a biscuit and confectionery company where she drove HR and change leadership.

Prior to working with Godiva, she served as global vice president of human resources and refreshment at Unilever, where she spearheaded the division’s agenda for its ice cream and beverages business.

"We are very happy to welcome Erica to Mars Petcare," said Poul Weihrauch, global president of Mars Petcare. "With 85,000 associates around the world dedicated to creating A Better World for Pets, Erica's leadership is vitally important. She will play a key role in championing the capabilities our Associates need to transform the industry."

Coletta added, "Joining Mars Petcare is very exciting. I'm looking forward to being with a world class company, combining my lifelong love of pets with working alongside passionate and talented Mars associates.”
