SAN DIEGO — Phyto Animal Health, a subsidiary of Medical Marijuana, Inc., announced April 24 it has launched a new cannabidiol (CBD) product for cats. HempBone Smoked Salmon bites are soft-baked, star-shaped chews with natural smoked salmon and roasted seafood flavoring.

Each cat treat contains one milligram of CBD, sourced from hemp containing less than 0.3% THC. Smaller cats can consume up to four bites per day to support overall wellness, and larger cats may consume more than four per day, according to Phyto Animal Health.

"There is currently an upward trend in the CBD pet supplement industry and for good reason," said Medical Marijuana, Inc. CEO Dr. Stuart Titus. "Phyto Animal Health leads this industry trend with premium quality, veterinarian-recommended CBD supplements in a variety of options that are customized to meet the needs of pets of many different sizes and species."

The brand also offers Bacon Apple Donuts, a crunchy CBD pet product for dogs, under its HempBone brand.

"Our HempBone Bacon Apple Donuts have gained incredible popularity over the past year because of their natural allergen-free ingredients and palatable taste that dogs love," said Ian Quinn, CEO of Phyto Animal Health. "We wanted to offer a safe and nutritious snack for cats as well, so we created HempBone Smoked Salmon Bites. They are one-fourth of the CBD per serving size as the Bacon Apple Donuts and feature a more feline-focused flavor, better meeting the dosing needs and taste preference of cats."

Phyto’s new CBD cat treats may also support joint health, cardiovascular function, emotional behavior and neurological health. The company claims each treat is Triple Lab Tested™ for CBD content and safety.
