The Minnesota Department of Agriculture (MDA) warns consumers of one person becoming ill from being exposed to raw pet food contaminated with Salmonella. Three lots of the pet food — Woody’s Pet Food Deli Raw Free Range Turkey— were recalled after product samples collected by the MDA confirmed the contamination and identified the human case of Salmonella linked to it.

  • Use by date: 01/10/20
  • Use by date: 01/12/20
  • Use by date: 01/15/20

The products were sold at Woody’s Pet Food Deli locations in Minneapolis, St. Paul and Woodbury. The human case was identified in an ongoing, multistate investigation of Salmonella Reading infections led by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The person had regularly fed the pet food inside the household. The MDA warns consumers to throw away the product with the above expiration dates, and to stop feeding it to pets. No other lots of this pet food are affected by the recall.
